The pizza, pricey and not very good. But like others said, you are in the middle of Yosemite you should not expect fancy/gourmet food. Good Margerita and a decent selection of beers. It wasn't very busy, we where there at the end of April. Go back, maybe.

LOVE THE PIZZA. It must be something with the water and elevation. The dough is fluffy and the cheese is flavorful. I eat here every trip into the valley. There has even been one occasion where my BF and I rode (motorcycle) from Orange County to the valley just for pizza from this place. Granted the view was part of the reason but the pizza and the view was to die for.

    OK pizza but way overpriced.

Its been said before ... its not great, but it is decent. We were in the park for 7 days. we cook 5, hit the Ahwahnee for happy hour one night and then pizza another. Yes is just ok, and yes its expensive, (but my camp site in Heaven was only $120 for the week!!) but a night away from the camp site and then ice cream after makes the kids happy.

Got pizza my second day in Yosemite, The squirrels are really scary because they get really close to you and try to open your bag to get food. (She wait hows how much humans have affected the a squirrels diet and natural habitat) The wait for the pizza wasn't so bad, we ordered "the works" which has everything on it in medium size. It all came out to a total of $22.80 which is pretty darn expensive. But hey what can you expect when your out in the wilderness. It was a pretty good pizza, Ive had better but not bad considering it's cooked far away from the city but right when we put it on the table a giant ant jumped on it so I kinda lost my appetite. Oh yeah and when you ask for pepper and cheese they make you return it back to the front because apparently people steal it.

Good sauce, super fast, filling, perfect after a day of hiking! Super impressed with the quality.

Staff was nice, the pizza was surprisingly OK, since I expected really bad pizza. There are not that many options in Yosemite, but if you just want a bite to eat and don't want granola bars or something too expensive, Curry Village Pizza Patio & Bar is a decent option. The squirrels are fearless here.

When it takes 90 minutes to get a pizza, it better be a spectacular pizza. We came here at 8:15pm on Sat night, stood in line and didn't get our pizza until 9:45pm. The pizza was yummy. Cheese and tomato sauce are amazing. But not worth a 90 minute wait. Unfortunately the next night we came back late around 8:45pm. Luckily since it was Sun night the line moved faster and we got our pizza by 9:30pm. If you have two or more people: 1. Person A goes lines up for food, while person B showers before the showers close at 10pm. 2. Person B comes back and waits for food to come out while person A goes shower before showers close at 10pm. Or grab a beer at the bar next to the pizza parlor. Or drive to the Yosemite Lodge and eat at the food court there.

Meh. Pizza wasn't much better than frozen. But we were desperate, so it did fill us up. I can't recommend this place unless you go because it's close or when nothing else is open. Wasn't terrible or anything.

Good pizza- pretty pricey, but they have a monopoly and you get really hungry after those long Yosemite hikes! we choose this over the buffet because pizzas that were coming out looked delicious, hot, and fresh pizza! We had a margherita (mozzarella, basil, tomatoes) and added sausage to it, which came out in about 15 minutes. We had to wait in line for 15-20 minutes, but they brought out samples to all everyone in line. It was great. You can also grab a glass of wine or beer at the bar next door while you wait!

This five stars is based solely on the fact that one cannot go into the wilderness and have extremely high expectations for food at a tourist destination in one of the most visited parks in the world. Additionally, it's pizza. There are some great pizza's in the world, but come on this is Yosemite. People don't go to Yosemite for Pizza. Having said all of that, It has a great patio where you can relax and take in the views of the breathtaking valley walls around you. It is in fact surreal to eat pizza in such and amazing place. It's a contradiction in itself, and I think thats why I like it so much. Eating pizza and drinking down a huge pint of Sierra Nevada (of course) before or after a trip into the wilderness reminds me that life is amazing and despite the pizza being moderately sub-par, I'm in YOSEMITE!!! WHO CARES HOW THE PIZZA IS. The lines can be long, so prepare to wait. The beer is smaller at the Pizzeria so go to the little bar to the right and get a proper pull. The pizza is expensive and each topping is extra. But it's easy for a big group and people wishing to eat food that has not been brought in aluminum foil or cooler.

I love this place mainly because after a long hike it's the best food that is available other than cliff bars. We hike the trails in Yosemite every summer and end each hike with Curry Village Pizza. Place closes at 10, so get there at least 10 minutes before. Nothing beats hiking the 9 mile trail (misnomer - it's actually 9.2 according to the trailhead marker) and hauling ass downhill in 45 minutes to make it in time to have some Curry Village Pizza. It's not the best pizza especially when they burn it, but who cares after burning 2,500 calories hiking Upper Yosemite Falls in the dark and running down the trail as fast as you can because you thought you saw a mountain lion a couple hours after seeing mountain lion warning signs in campground 4. Negative - long lines. Positive - entertainment while eating. Entertainment = watching all the people who look like us, stuffing their faces with pizza while looking like the kids from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome; the squirrels taking down food that's 10x their size; and the raccoon family making its annual summer visit stealing food from people and staring down everyone who walks by while giving everyone the evil eye. And the bar adjacent is pretty cool too.

I had low expectations for the pizza and was pleasantly surprised. Solid pizza for being in a place like Yosemite Valley.

We decided to venture out into the cold after hours to make the most of our stay at Curry Village. Since we barely spent time here during the day, we decided that maybe it would be best if we "checked out" our little "home" for the weekend and see what the fuss is all about. During winter, if you're staying at Curry Village and decide to eat on Curry Village "quarters" you're limited to THIS place. Cooking isn't allowed anywhere on Curry premises and the "Curry Village Pizza Patio and Bar" is your only option of warm food on site. Be prepared for LONG lines. Luckily for my family though, we didn't have to wait that long. Seating is VERY limited (prepare to fight for a table), we sure as hell did. Prices? uhhhhhh, for what we got? uhhhhhh, yea. $4 dollars for a cheap bowl of soup. (save yourself the trouble and don't even bother.) $8.50 for a caesar salad. (It's actually pretty good!) $20ish dollars for a large pizza. (It's actually a lot for a family of 4) additional topics cost more... All in all, the food was edible, but for the prices we paid for some of it? TOTALLY not worth it. I'm actually continuing this review from a my trip a few weeks ago (*correction, a month ago!)...so i no longer have anything witty to say...nor do i remember any of it...but from i wrote, i assure you, you can trust me (just don't trust your man when he tells you to trust him!(so i've been told)) hahah, i kid, i kid.

this isnt the best pizza you will have but it will be the best meal you can get inside a national park. the pizza is decent. on ours the crust seemed a bit doughy and underdone but i didnt mind it too much especially since i was hungry. we also eat a veggie bowl which is basically veggies and ranch dip. the wait can get long if you come at the wrong time. but the wait isnt excrutiating long by any means.

  • Kathryn K.

Pizza was fast (lunch time on a Friday) and fresh. It's not going to be what you hoped for but it's not as bad as you were fearing with resort food. A large was enough for us and our two little kids. The outdoor seating can't be beat. We went in the sprint time and had a waterfall tumbling down the rock race right next to the village.

  • Rob Z.

Considering how far they are from people who care about cooking pizza for tourists, it could be worse.

I can't believe all of the bad reviews... ! I can only vouch for the pizzas, but I can say for sure that the pizza is yummy, thin, crisp and tasty. The staff is uninspired and the lines are long, but it is a cafeteria type restaurant in a campground! In regard to someones comments about the costs, I think that the prices are reasonable and that it's actually not true that two small pizzas costs more nor is two smalls bigger than a medium. The prices are as follows (as of this weekend) small, 4 small pieces of pizza, $8 medium, 8 small pieces of pizza $15 large, I forget how many slices, is $20 The beer is expensive so you're better off walking around the corner and buying a 6-pack from the lovely grocery store that has a great selection of beers including a variety of microbrews.

    (4)
  • Dan M.

Another beating for the Pizza Patio!! IT SUCKS Yeah... it does. But if everything else happens to be closed or the line is too long... well, there ya go. Pizza Patio. :) WTF??? Ordering two smalls is cheaper and provides more pizza eat'n than a medium. Uhhhh... hello? The large is actually a deal though. ???

There aren't a lot of dining options in Yosemite, especially in the winter. Still, Curry Village Pizza Patio offers tasty pizza and is a good choice for a casual dinner. If you are looking for a place to eat dinner, it offers better food than Mountain Room or Mountain Room Lounge.

I thought this was pretty okay as far as pizza places in remote areas go. The pizzas we had were fresh, hot and delivered quickly. The waitstaff was quick and attentive. The bar was a nice touch and they have some huge flat screen TVs inside with various sports on and they will change the channel per your request. I wouldn't say the pizza is a must but if you've been camping and/or hiking then it's kinda nice to just go order some hot pizza and have a beer while you wait.

    (3)
  • Scott G.

I frequent this place often! The pizza is A-OK but nothing terrific. Yet at the end of a long hiking day and combined with a beer (from the bar next door and not from the pizza window); this pizza is great. No lies though; it is obvious that DNC is trying to save money in everyway possible; they go skimpy on the toppings, actually count out paper plates when you ask for them (which are cheap and fall apart); they don't provide cheese or crushed peppers readily, and the prices are high. Watch out for this place during prime time summer months; long wait and its hard to find a table.

    (3)
  • Keneke K.

We look forward to eating here when we visit Yosemite. Pizza is pricey but it's good ~ especially with fresh garlic! Lines can be long but while we wait we can snatch a table and watch the raccoons and/or deer nearby.

  • Rourke M.

This is one of the better places to eat in Yosemite Valley. The pizza isn't exceptional, but it sure tastes good after a long day of hiking. There's a good selection of toppings, and the pizza is ready pretty quickly. In addition to the pizza you can order through the window (see picture), there's now table service in the outdoor seating area. If you hang out for a while, someone will appear and offer to take your drink or dinner order. The selection of beer is pretty good, but I don't know how good the entrees are.

    (3)
  • Brian A.

Fine. Normally this place would only get 3 stars. But you know what? After spending 12 plus hours hiking 18 miles round trip to half dome eating nothing but cliff bars and trail mix... the pizza here was the best pizza ever!

    (5)
  • Matty K.

Pizza was better than expected, but expensive. It was cool how they had remote pagers to alert us when our pizza would be ready so you can have a beer while waiting. Once the pager went off, I went to pick up the pizza from the pick-up window. I asked for a side of ranch and she said it'd be 54 cents. I gave her a 20 and waited, no joke, 5 minutes while she went to get me change. It doesn't sound long, but when you're starving and standing in front of your pizza ready to eat, 5 minutes is insanely long for change. It didn't help that I could stand there and watch as the cashier guy just ignore her, taking 3 more orders before he rang me up for the ranch.

  • Libby B.

pizza was expensive but was super yummy! I got a small (which was more like a kids pizza) cheese, mushroom, onion and sausage and it was $11. My boyfriend got a medium with toppings for $18, yeech! the pizza was fresh though and tasted great. another downside is that you have to sit in the dark when you eat, if you are eating dinner, but I would assume that is because they don't want to attract mosquitoes!

  • Nikhil B.

I dont know why people go gaga about how untasty the food is in the valley. This place wasnt the greatest, but their chili dog and pizzas were pretty good. Either that or thats what a 4 hour hike does to your reviewability. The location and the timings were a lifesaver too.

After reading scores of travel books about Yosemite, one of the more common things to do is to stop and get pizza from the Curry Village Pizza Patio & Bar. The amazing consistency between travel writers made me actually stop at Curry Village to check out their pizza! (And I didn't even stay at Curry Village!) The pizza place is low key. You order at a small window and get a pager that has a cheesy ringtone once your pizza is done. The pizza prices SUCK and the pizza really SUCKS! A small personal pan pizza (4 small slices) costs $6.50 for just the tomato sauce & cheese. For each additional topping, you pay $0.60 more, but check this out....when I ordered my pizza w/ mushrooms, canadian bacon and bell peppers, I literally got 4 small mushroom slices and the other toppings were extremely meager. Wow. And my total price was over 8 bucks for a crappy pizza! And you have to wait over 15 minutes because they make it fresh. Totally not worth it. If you want REALLY good pizza for WAY cheaper, go to the Food Court at the Yosemite Lodge. The dough is light and chewy, but not too doughy. The toppings are plentiful and the sauce is delicious. Total price for a slightly better small pizza? $6, including the toppings. I can't believe I really loved the Yosemite Lodge Pizza. Just as good as pizza in NYC. Really. Don't get the pizza at Curry Village. It sucks and is a total ripoff.

After hiking to Vernal Falls and back come here and take a shot of Tequila. The quick altitude change combined with poison truly let's you feel every vein in your body. It's pretty fun. Not for families though. Didn't get to taste the pizza though. Just enjoyed a margarita.

When in Yosemite you don't have to rough it specially if your staying in Curry Village or one of the three campgrounds( Lower Pines, Upper Pines, North Pines) located nearby. You can stop by and grab a pretty tasty pizza a couple of beers and sit on the deck or walk back to your site. Sometimes people take the pizza back to the Curry Buffet lobby and eat by the fireplace. Whatever the case you'll enjoy it after a day of hiking and need some carbs or some comfort food. Of all the pizza places in Yosemite this is my least favorite but a cool spot to walk to and enjoy some good pizza surrounded by some of the most beautiful views in the shade of Glacier Point or inside the bar watching a Laker game. It can get packed during dinner in the summer. Is closed during the off season. Also you need to be careful and watch for squirrels and even raccoons and protect your food for the animals sake. Your in the outdoors after all.

Extremely whack!!!!!! we picked up two large pizza's, a vegetarian and a Hawaiian pizza, both were bad, they tasted like they were extremely hollow and they were bland, if you have a choice get anything besides something from here, i would even recommend eating some Doritos instead of getting a pizza from here, STAY AWAY!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED

The patio is for complete suckers. It is hands down the WORST VALUE and the WORST FOOD to be had in the Valley.

Its okay. Not great but not terible either. Its one of those places that you say... "hey! Its not everyday that I can eat pizza in the most beautiful place on earth."

the line doesnt move. it's way too crowded. the food is mediocre. go to degnan's pizza if u want pizza. bring alcohol and get drunk in your cabin if u want a bar.

Had this again yesterday and I swear it just gets better every time. The crust is thin and crispy, the cheese melted, and lot's of HOT jalapenos. I think I saw a squirrel crying in the corner because we wouldn't share any of our pizza with him! Curry Village Pizza...Good for People Bad for Squirrels.

Yes, it's not going to be the best pizza you'll ever eat in your life, but let's put it in context- you're in the middle of a national park. And frankly, it was the best food I had while there. Nice chewy, yet crunchy crust with a good amount of cheese- what more do you really need? The salads are forgettable, but I don't have anything bad to say about them. It's a little more than you might pay for the same quality pizza somewhere else, but it's not unreasonable whatsoever. I believe a medium was $14 and a large $18. The line was pretty long, but the wait was pretty typical for pizza anywhere (and we were there during peak season)! Service was brisk, yet not unfriendly, and the tables were surprisingly clean. The first night we ordered a large cheese and a couple side salads. The second night we went (after a long day of hiking), we tried a medium Margherita, a medium pepperoni, and two salads again. All were good. My family ate there twice during our stay, and we all agreed that this was the tastiest, most reasonably priced food we experienced in the park. Filling, tasty, "cheap", convenient- I definitely recommend.

For mass-produced camp food, this was super tasty. They are NOT the only pizza option in the valley (there is also a Pizza place in Yosemite Village), but according to the ranger at our campsite, the pizza is the same at both places. We got a medium pizza with mushrooms and olives, for two adults and two small people who like pizza, and it was a good amount. I thought the price was very reasonable all things considered. The crust was tasty, the cheese was good, and there were enough toppings to have a couple in each bite. The bar next door... nice bonus. 14 oz Mammoth Amber Ale on tap for just under $7. I wish I'd realized before we ate that there is also seating inside -- there were a few yellow jackets and quite a few squirrels that we had to deal with on the patio, so an indoor meal would have been more restful. Afterwards, head inside to get ice cream! We'd seen HUGE servings, so I suggested to my husband that he get one for us all to share, and he ordered two scoops--easily a pint of ice cream for under $4. One scoop is plenty even for accomplished ice cream consumers, and would have been fine for our family to share.

  • Grace C.

Probably one of your better dining choices in Yosemite. The Pizza was good, but pricey for what you get They do load up the meatier toppings -- Lots of round thick pieces of sausage that will have the squirrels and birds flocking to your table. -- But our mushrooms must have shrunk so much they became invisible. I'd say skip the pizza, your waist will thank you, and get yourself a nice big cup of Raspberry Ice Tea, unlimited refills!!. After a long day hiking Half Dome, I felt like this was the most refreshing drink I ever had in my entire life.

Expensive, almost clip joint prices, for a pizza that is one step up from a frozen grocery store one. :(

    (1)
  • Michael W.

The good thing about Pizza Patio is that it's open late for dinner (till 10pm). Hungry after hiking half dome, we didn't have many options, so we stood in a long line for pizza. The guy in line before us said it was the best pizza in Yosemite. It makes sense then why Yosemite is not famous for its pizza. The prices are ridiculous for extra toppings! But we didn't want a boring cheese pizza so we added sausage and mushroom toppings. The pizza came out about 35 minutes later (after the 30 min wait in line) with thick meatball-like chunks of sausage. They were very generous with the sausage but kinda skimped on the mushroom. The pizza was good, not spectacular, but not quite worth the price and the wait. In Summary: Pros - open late, made to order Cons - long lines, high prices

I am easy to please for the most part and def do not have high expectations for any kind of establishment that is in the wilderness. this pizza tasted like digiorno but at least the mushrooms weren't canned. I don't expect anything to be cheap in Yosemite, just think about how much time it takes to get the stuff there. Besides beggars cannot be choosers.

A 3 star restaurant, but this is the best restaurant in Curry Village by far. As such, this gets 4 stars. My wife and I shared a medium pizza (8 slices). We added pepperoni and mushroom. The food isn't that bad given your options around the area. This was probably the best restaurant in Curry Village. As such, my wife and I opted to eat here twice during our stay in Yosemite. PROS: -Food is just alright. Considering your options around the area, this is as good as it gets. -A solid bar next door which serves beers on tap, bottles, and some mixed drinks. Pints are $6 and schooners are about $9. The bar is extremely small, it's just a bar and seats 4 people inside. As such, expect to drink out-doors on the patio. CONS: -Pricey/expensive. A medium pizza is about $16 (cheese only). Each additional topping runs about $1.50 each. TIPS: -Expect to eat outdoors on the patio. Dress appropriately, especially at night. -Line gets REALLY long at night. Eat early to beat the lines

Im telling you breh Curry has everything except for actual CURRY! so we tried this place out one night when we stayed at curry village. It was pretty good. Not crazy good but ok. The prices are steap too I guess you pay for the place. My wifes margarita was , again, just ok. The chilli dogs were good. I went next door to buy a six pack instead of paying 7 bucks for a beer. Lol im not cheap, im just smart :) its probably not cool with them, but remember kids, its not against the rules until you get caught. But I have to admit its a pretty cool addition to curry village. I enjoyed the company more than anything.

Is this the best pizza ever? Ummmm, of course not! Is it the best thing ever, when you've been hiking ALL day!!! and I'm not talking, let's walk around the valley floor, I'm talking real, serious, legitimate hiking! All damn day! At that point, is it good? Hell yes, it is! At that point, do I blink an eye at a 12 slice pie and some non Coca Cola products (Pepsi, gross!!! and I maybe, maybe have one soda a year, if that) being $30? Of course not! We're from LA so talking over priced isn't usually something I do, I have no concept of what over priced is on most occasions. This is also the only place open in the area open until 10P so you don't have many options, there's another pizza joint in Yosemite Village and I've found out the bar/lounge at the Ahwahnee is open until 11P but if you're a mess after a very long day you really don't have time to get yourself "resort ready" when all you want to do is have some dinner. My boyfriend and I ate dinner here two nights in a row at around 945P, the line can be long but moves pretty quickly. You are then given a buzzer and the pizza is ready in a reasonable amount of time given how many orders they are cranking out. We had a little routine going, order the pizza (night 1 I was soooo hungry I ordered a large and half went to waste - a medium is plenty!) and then walk into the lodge area to hit the coffee & ice-cream area. Dare anyone call those prices high. I think what they are charging for large scoops of ice-creams and espresso is completely fair. I'd have a scoop of ice-cream while our pizza was prepared and then chow down on our pie, which was surprisingly delish after the days we'd had out on the trails. Was this my first choice for dinner? No. Did I nearly refuse to eat from here night 1 after discovering they were our only option? Yes. After trying them, would I recommend or return in the future? Sure! And let's not let this review go without mentioning the Bar. Yes, BAR! Right beside the Pizza ordering area. They have a small counter inside and a large outdoor patio/pavilion area with a ton of round tables to eat at. I however found it most comfortable to dine indoors after a long day where regular restrooms are also located.

Pretty decent small pizza. Thin crust and works for a campground fer sure. Obviously a little pricy, but so is everything in the valley.

For a pizza place inside a national park, this place is surprisingly pleasant to eat at. For one, the wait staff is very friendly, which is NOT a given usually at tourisy areas. They went out of their way to explain how pricing works, and gave us tips on "free refills" on the soda etc. Overall a pretty chill group of folks, despite having to deal with tourists everyday! In terms of food quality, the pizza was also pretty well done. Not the best pizza in the world, but it was definitely above average compared to most pizza places outside of the park. That counts for A LOT in my book, since I would imagine pizza places inside tourist spots to be much, much worse than average. There is also a bar next to the pizza place, that serves Mammoth related beer. Apparently this is locally brewed, and taste pretty smooth / light, just the way I liked it. Definitely recommended. There is also a bunch of outside patio seats, but usually gets full pretty quickly. Get a spot while you still can!

Reasonably good pizzas at a not-so-high price. We stayed at Yosemite for two days and a night, and camped at curry village. This was the nearest restaurant to grab dinner. I expected restaurants to be extremely over priced near the camps. But, to my pleasant surprise, the cost wasn't very high. We ordered a large pizza with onion and garlic toppings. It was enough and more for four of us. It wasn't particularly delicious, but, its a pizza, so, I didn't expect much either. The seating place is large and comfortably heated. If you are with a group, there are big round tables where you can spend hours talking away in the heated space. However, look out for rodents. There was a rodent when we were having dinner. The staff immediately chased it away, but it kind of freaked me out, specially after reading about the hanta virus in their mails. Overall, its a pretty good place to grab dinner at, when you are camping and there are not many options around.

We got a large pizza with pepperoni, mushroom, and jalapeno. I'm not sure if it was good because we had just completed a 9 mile hike or if it was that we were famished, but it was good. The outside reading area was nice, relaxing, and clean. The guy at the bar serving alcohol was cool. Great selection of beer.

As my friends and I were standing in line trying to decide on what size pizza and what toppings to order a fellow pizza patron came to the line and bellowed some magical words, "Anyone in the pizza line waiting to order want a free pizza?" Swoop! We snatched that sucker up quick. Thank-you kind sir for sharing your leftover pizza with us hungry rock climbers. We made quick work of that large pizza. The pizza was tastier than expected. It had a good doughy crust and decent gooey mozzarella. Even the parmesan packets tasted of good quality. There were different toppings on the pizza. The ham and pineapple combo was most popular with our group and then the sausage and pepperoni and lastly the cheese. For pizza served in a national park, not bad.

It's not the best pizza in the world by any objective standard, but of course the subjective deliciousness of a piece of pizza depends heavily on context. And after a day of hiking around Yosemite, a pizza here, accompanied by a cold Tuolomne Meadows IPA is one of the most satisfying pizzas I can remember. (I particularly recommend pepperoni, tomato, and green pepper, but you don't need me to tell you what you like on your pizza.) Yes, the pizza is a little doughy, generic, and overpriced. But consider the law of revealed preferences: In four nights in Yosemite, this is the only place we ate twice.

  • Conor B.

Long lines, but tasty pizza. I also love that you get to sit out on the patio and just enjoy the outdoors (though outdoors filled with tourists). The pizza definitely hits the spot and it does come out quickly so you won't have to wait too long once you've put your order in. There's a deli near the visitor's center that also has a pizzaria in the evenings. It's a close race as to which place wins for best pizza in the area. Just letting you know that there are other pizza options out there if you don't want to wait in the long lines.

Our first night at the park, we opted for one of the few eating choices available on a weekday. The place allows for three sizes and a wide array of toppings on top of hot dogs, chili dogs, and various other fast food type edibles. We got a half and half pizza: half veggie and half Canadian bacon and pineapple. It was AMAZING. A very nice surprise! Expected a kind of bland cooked in the microwave type thing but did not get that. The crust was crisp and the toppings plentiful. A very good pizza in the woods that went very well with the beer we got from the local brewery (they have beers and wine you can get from the pizza place, as well).

Great location but terrible food. The staff is full of wonderful and friendly people and they don't gouge you on prices. There are not very many food options in the valley so this place has very little competition. Foodies need not apply but it got the job done.

I enjoyed the porter and the pizza is okay but the cost is what anyone would expect in a place for the tourists. Toppings are over priced. Also, long line as there isn't any other thing to eat this time of the year in the Curry Village besides the restaurant next door that isn't any better. If you don't mind spending a lot on pizza this place is great but if you're like me and expect fast food to be cheap than don't forget to bring your camping stove top and just walk across to the campgrounds across the way and cook yourself up food. They do have 1 grocery store at the Yosemite Village Store....stock up not worth the long wait in the cold with the huge crowd at the Curry Village Camp site.

We ate here the 2nd night, as we did not enjoy the dining hall much the night before. The pizza is better than the dining hall food overall, but I still would not call it great pizza. It is pizza that is passable, especially after a long day of hiking when you are tired and hungry. I would compare it to a chain pizza joint like Papa John's. It takes a while to get your order, as there is always a line of people. There is a nice outdoor patio for seating, or you can take your pizza into the dining hall if you prefer to eat indoors. A large pizza is a bit pricey at $18.95.

this place is ridiculously overpriced! small (personal pizza) which serves 4 small slices is $8 something. to add any topping besides cheese and red sauce is 90 cents per topping. talk about ridiculous!!! medium=$14 something and $18 something for large. and the topping price goes up for medium and large pizzas as well. oh and it literally takes an hour to get to the front of the line to order then an additional hour to receive your food. this place is a total rip off.

Awesome pizza-best you'll find in the park! It's great sitting out on the deck, and they have a full bar to wet your palate! Ice cold beer and pizza on a hot day after hiking really hits the spot!

You do stand in line a long time, it's a bit disorganized, but we had a hot dog, chefs salad, garden salad and a mushroom with onions pizza. A glass of Chardonnay and several different choices of beer. We've had better pizza and food but the setting is great, you sit outside on a porch under the trees. The first day we hiked Vernal and Nevada falls. The second day we hiked the 4-mile Hike to Glacier Point. The hubby did the panorama loop and I took bus down. All the hikes were pretty strenuous and at high altitude and kicked my butt! We saw the mama bear and her cub at 7 am as they walked right in front of our car.

The only reason people might think this pizza is good is because they are starving. When you are that hungry anything taste good. Our tiny expensive pizza was burnt, and the crust was non existing. People were returning their pizza it was so burnt. The line was long and they were out of items on their menu by late lunch.

For a place out in the middle of nowhere, it's really take it or leave it when you come to this place. Beer is still cheaper than at Disneyland. Pizza is comparable to Pizza Hut. But for about $25 for a large, between 6 people this was the cheapest food option around. I'd say come prepared with food you can cook but you're not allowed to have a fire so that's out of the question. If you can, avoid staying at Curry Village. Facilities are not that clean, and also very expensive, wifi is non-existent and food options are very limited as well.

Well its pizza, expensive pizza. It tasted ok but was a bit too greasy for my taste.

  • Brittany S.

Eh, this wasn't very good but what do you expect in a tourist location like Yosemite? The pizza was SUPER greasy. The prices were what I would expect, overpriced but fit that of a typical tourist location. The best part about eating here is watching the obese ground squirrels, too funny.

Pizza was ok. Came here one night because we didn't want to cook. $18.95 for large cheese pizza. Place order and you get a buzzer. Wait for buzzer to go off and pick up pizza at the window. We usually order then go to the gift shop to get drinks. By the time we get back the pizza is ready. Avoid peak times (like 7pm) because the lines are crazy long.

This pizza place is located at the Curry Village. The lines can get pretty long during weekend dinner time. We came here for lunch and ordered a medium pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni. Also ordered a side of pasta salad, which turned out to be blah. Pizza was good, not too bad. It was just way tooooo cheesy. Would have tasted better had they gone easy on the cheese. Grab your pizza and head inside the pavilion for indoor seating. Or, sit in one of the tables outdoors. Or take it over to the guest lounge nearby.

A bit better than shopping mall food court pizza but nothing that will impress anyone from anywhere with a modicum of Italian American heritage. It's the kind of thick crust that predominates West of the Alleghanies, and the sauce doesn't have much spice, but the toppings seem fresh. They turn them out pretty quickly. The pizza bar had alternatives when I was there including a salad bar which looked ok and one main dish each evening, which included sliced turkey dinner and beef stroganoff when I was here. My only real complaint was that they didn't seem to clean the tables very often.

The line was kind of long but it went fast. The pizzas were pricey - Small $7.70, Medium $14.60 and Large $18.95 with each topping an additional $1.80. I didn't see any specialty combinations so you figure a large with everything would be, what, $40? They also offered hot dogs, chili, soup, and salads. We ordered some sodas, beers, and a large pizza with extra cheese and pepperoni. The pizza was AWESOME - hot, tasty, and the extra cheese was more like extra extra extra cheese. Perfect crust - not too thin, slightly charred. The large was perfect for a family of four. I could literally have eaten here every day of our trip. Would definitely go there again!

Great Pizza! it was really cold outside and the super hot Pizza hit the spot. The line was long but it moved fast. we had our pizza in about 15mins. Great lunch on a cold day.

This is one of the best dinning choices available in the Valley. It's not great pizza (think Dominoes), but it's pretty good, the prices are quite reasonable (especially considering the location), and the patio and deck is a pleasant spot to eat. There is also an adjacent full service bar. Dining choices are quite limited in the Valley, and this place understandably draws a crowd. The line moves relatively quickly, and we've never had a problem finding a table after ordering. Whether the drink prices at the bar are reasonable is debatable. For example, a Jim Beam Rocks was $9.00 for a so-so pour. Service was good all around and friendly. All things considered, you really can't go wrong.

I enjoyed this fine establishment two of the three nights I ate in Curry Village. In part because it was very tasty and in part because it was the only thing open late. The pizza itself was really tasty. Lots of cheese and a thin crust that was cooked perfectly. A medium and a salad satisfied two adult hikers who were ready to eat the dome off of Half Dome. It is a little more expensive than ordering a pizza outside of the park ($14bucks for a medium, plus $1.80 for toppings), but they could charge a captive audience more. I was surprised it was reasonable. Line can be long at peak dinner hours.

It's sort of a tradition to get pizza from here on Saturday night when I'm in Yosemite. It's always been good so far but this time it was baked too long and the crust was really dark and hard. They also seemed to not put as much toppings as they usually do. I know that it was off season when I went in November but still, they just needed to deliver the same good pizza as before and they didn't.

Curry Village Pizza is what keeps me going on a 18 hour hike. I MUST be done by 9pm to get that amazing tasting pizza. All day I dream of sinking my teeth into it. This is my preverbal carrot at the end of my hike. I crave it all year till my next visit. The line is usually long but moves very quickly. Service is always friendly, and patio clean. This is the only restaurant I eat at while visiting the park.

Consider the location and limited options available, the pizza tasted much better than I thought. Of the three options, the dining hall, pizza, and burger, this is my first choice.

After a long day of physical activity and little money in the pocket, pizza sounds like the most practical choice. You get the most bang for your buck with the thick pillowy pizzas here. If there are many in your party, then the large pizza is worth it. If not, the personal sized pizza is still good value. Cheese is the default and all toppings are an additional charge. The crust is almost nonexistent, which I like. They also have hot dogs and salads here. A large soda is only $2 and refills are unlimited. Hooray for cafeteria styled food.

The Pizzas are well made and the fact that you can just choose you toppings is a plus in my opinion. If you are hiking all day or come back from an extended backpacking trip, this place is a good place to go. Depending on the time of the day, service can be fast or a bit slow. Seating is not a problem but you have to look out for the squirrels.

I've eaten at the Curry Village Pizza Patio many times over the years. I never thought I would crave pizza served through a National Park concessionaire, but daaaaamn this is good pizza! And it's not just the hunger pains after backpacking/camping/hiking talking. This is some good, quality pizza. I ate here yesterday afternoon while my friend Sandyann G & I were lagging in the park, dreading leaving our favorite place. After backpacking out 6 or so miles in the high country we were ready to grub on some pizza. The place was almost empty so we got our pizza in about 15 minutes. While we waited I enjoyed a Sierra Nevada Tumbler (I just love seasonal beer), we people watched (always fun in the valley), marveled at the surrounding scenery, & watched the fearless chubby squirrels munching on pizza crumbs. What a life those squirrellies have! The pizza arrived hot & oozing with cheese. The crust is perfectly crunchy on the bottom & soft on top. The sauce is supposedly house made...it tastes pretty darned good so I believe 'em. I burned my mouth several times because I was just too excited to eat it! I'd gladly pay $20 for a pizza this good in my town, but all pizzerias in my area pale in comparison to Pizza Patio.

My sisters and I always get pizza when we come to camp in the lower pines campground. The pizza is really yummy! It has lots of cheese and a real good crust. It's a little pricey fora pizza I guess but everything's more expensive in the valley. I would recommend getting the Hawaiian pizza, thats my favorite.

The Yelp average for this place is accurate. At currently a three-star average, the Pizza Patio is certainly A-OK. Decent pizza, especially when you're hungry after a long hike up Half Dome, but nothing to write home about (though I am indeed writing about it). The kicker? It was around $50 for two pizzas! I suppose you should expect that at a tourist trap type of establishment. When looked at with my glass-is-half-full mentality, it's not all that bad. There were four of us, so that's basically $12.50 per person. We had leftovers, so you could probably share two pizzas with five people, making it $10 per person. That sounds about right. As for the bar, it's nice that they have some of the Mammoth Brewing Company beers on tap, such as the Tuolumne Meadows IPA. My friend paid $9.50 for a large glass. Personally, I went over to the gift store and picked up a single 12oz bottle for less than $2 and drank that back at the camp site.

If you don't mind the wait, and you need to fill a Half Dome Hike-sized hole in your stomach, this place is probably where you need to be. Outdoor seating ensures you won't be offending other patrons with your post-hike stench. As casual as it gets, you order your pizza at a window and then pick it up yourself when your number is called. Stick to one- and two-topping pizzas...they charge a fortune for extra toppings! They don't have supreme, and the veggie pizza was much too expensive. Even though it had about 6 different toppings, there were barely any of each. The pizza is surprisingly delicious, which may explain the large line of people. There is an adjacent bar, where the beer flows. There was even a guy walking around taking beer orders. Awesome!

Three stars for being the only option in the valley. Line was long but moved pretty quickly. Pizza was cooked and ready fairly quickly. Finding a table around dinner time is a pain. Is the pizza good? Not so much, but after a long day of hiking, it's warm and hits the spot. The thing that also raised the rating a little was the cocktail waitress that took our drink orders. It beat standing in the long line for the bar. Good selection of local beers.

Very good pizza, was surprised at how good it was. The service was a little slow for ordering the pizza though. Had 3 people of ahead of us and it took 20 minutes. They let you refill your soda pop which is great since most places do not let you do that. It took about 15 minutes for our pizza to be ready, but after a long day in the park it was well worth it. Very satisfying.

Pretty good pizza, but pricey! I personally love thin crust but the crust they have here is pretty good. They have a variety of toppings but they charge per topping. Only thing is the line might be long when it gets busy in the summer.
